Supreme Deputy of Texas
Mrs. Marlene M. Dibrell

On June 16, 1999, at the close of Grand Assembly Session in Corpus Christi, Mrs. Marlene Dibrell was installed as Supreme Deputy in Texas by Mrs. Mary Muhs, Supreme Worthy Advisor. Mr. Joe Blair, Supreme Parliamentarian, was Supreme Chaplain for the Installation Ceremony.

Mrs. Dibrell is married to David B. Dibrell, and they have two daughters, Jo D. Dibrell of Garland and Jill Nennmann who resides in Fort Worth with her husband Brian and sons, Steven and Benton.

Mrs. Dibrell is a member and Past Matron of Dal-Cliff Chapter #574, Order of the Eastern Star. She has also served as Deputy Grand Matron, District Deputy Grand Matron, and the office of, Grand Examiner, District One which she held for four years. She also holds memberships in the Social Order of the Beauceant, Daughters of the Nile, Order of the Amaranth, and White Shrine of Jerusalem.

She was active as a Rainbow girl, first in Clovis Assembly in New Mexico, and then in Big Spring Assembly # 60 in Texas. As an adult leader, Mrs. Dibrell has been active in Rainbow some twenty-five years, serving first as an Advisory Board Member and Mother Advisor with Richardson Assembly # 291, then Grand Assembly as an Adult Grand Officer and Grand Visitor. She is also a member of the Grand Cross of Color.

Always active in activities with children and youth, Mrs. Dibrell is a Past President of elementary, junior high and senior high school Parent-Teacher Associations and was honored to be presented as a Life Member of Texas PTA. She was a Brownie Scout Leader, and a Girl Scout Leader, She and Mr. Dibrell are active in the First United Methodist Church of Richardson where they have worked as choir parents with the youth choir. Mrs. Dibrell has taught third grade Sunday School and Mr. Dibrell has been on the Board of Trustees.

Mrs. Dibrell is a professional and licensed interior designer and has her own business, Marlene Dibrell and Associates, Inc. in Dallas. She does both commercial and residential interior design. She has served in various regional capacities as well as being National Secretary, then National Vice-President in her professional interior design association . Her experience has earned her recognition and the honored designation of Fellow in Interior Design. She was selected several years ago and remains currently in the listing , International Who’s Who of Interior Design.

Mrs. Dibrell is known for her smile, her positive attitude and her enthusiasm for Rainbow in Texas. In her Greetings at Grand Assembly she said, "The sky is the limit for Rainbow in Texas!" and stressed the importance of a TEAM effort: Together Everyone Achieves More!

Her prayer for Texas Rainbow is this: May His love give us guidance, strength and courage as we serve this Beautiful Order and may we always remember to "Pass on God’s Love."
